For Pakistani pilgrims, the Saudi authorities, in collaboration with Pakistan’s health ministry, have set specific vaccination guidelines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
Meningococcal vaccine – It is recommended that all pilgrims receive a dose of the quadrivalent meningococcal vaccine (ACWY vaccine) at least 10 days before their travel to the Kingdom. This vaccine provides protection against the strains of Neisseria meningitidis (A, C, W, and Y) that are responsible for the disease.
Ensuring the health and safety of pilgrims and the wider community, following vaccines are also recommended:

  • DTaP
